| What is my place in the world? You know, my niche. Will I enjoy a job in the real world better than grad school? I'm thinking yes. Will I be able to maintain an enjoyable and fulfilling career while staying close to my family and the places I grew up? Some people like moving all around the country looking for better jobs, but I don't think I would want to move away from everyone I've ever known. Sure, I'd like to travel more someday, but not move to another country or anything. |
| I'm finishing my Masters in Chemistry and looking for a job. In my spare time, I'm visiting my family, watching TV and movies, playing video games, surfing the internet, sometimes playing with the PC I built. |
| Just had a job interview today. My first one ever. I think I have a good shot, they are pretty much looking for someone with exactly my background. Fingers crossed. It's about time to get out of school and give the real world a try. |

| Comment: | I've had this book for years but just read it about a month ago. It covers science, history, and religion and brings them all together. It's really well written too. Sagan intended it to be readable by anyone and I think he managed to pull that off. I think it should be required reading. |

| Comment: | This is from a video game soundtrack. Don't laugh. I would argue that these days, some video game soundtracks are almost comparable to movie soundtracks. In particular, games like RPGs with involved stories often have tracks for a variety of situations. This one happens to be a battle theme, like for when you're killing monsters. The battle themes tend to be my favorite tracks. |

| Comment: | My general taste in music is hard to describe, basically a mix of video game soundtracks, rock, alternative, metal, and J-pop. So here's something from Nightwish, a Finnish metal band my sister got me into. |

| Comment: | So I've been watching these "let's play" videos on YouTube, where basically someone records themself playing a video game and adds commentary, etc. It's kind of like playing the game without actually playing it yourself. This guy is particularly entertaining. |

| Comment: | I'm a pretty big Star Trek fan. I think the ultra hardcore fans will hate the new movie, but I will give it a chance. I mean, they have to appeal to the non-fans too, after all, and I understand that. If they made movies just for the fans they wouldn't make any money. I will definitely see it when it comes out. |
