Lexington, KY, October 1, 2008—FlowMingle wants you to have a date this weekend. By opening its doors, this young company brings a breath of fresh air into the stagnant world of online dating. Organizing its participants into small, local groups of like-minded individuals, FlowMingle effects an engaging introduction process using the best social media technology. Groups, or Mingles, interact online for one week, responding to daily discussion prompts designed to explore who they are, showcase their communication style, encourage creativity, and examine their thoughts. After reading and commenting on the responses, sharing short messages, and genuinely getting to know each other, participants are presented with a summary of how they rated others and how they were rated. The groups are then guided through a connection process whereby they can ask additional questions, and exchange communication information if they like.

Since FlowMingle connects people through small groups, the time investment required to harvest large quantities of user information is not cost-effective for the scam artists that saturate other online dating services.
